SFT stands for: Safe Food Technologies, Inc., a start-up company dedicated to building a novel type of food irradiation apparatus.
The food industry needs to ensure that product sold is disease free. This is why a lot of products are pasteurized. This process kills all bacteria and does not allow the product to spoil. The FDA has been encouraging food manufacturers to adopt food irradiation as a sterilization method.
